We offer two excellent large picture window solutions when you want stunning views. Our Heavy-Duty Resolute 4200 and Jumbo Frame PI-2000 window series. Although they have very different frames, both window types feature slim sightlines and clear, expansive vistas. They are also specially engineered to safely carry much thicker and heavier glass needed for extra large windows.

Resolute 4200 Picture Window Options

Identical Outside but Very Different Inside

Standard Resolute 4200 Picture Windows (above left): ¾” IG Double Pane Unit, Standard 3MM Thick Glass, Standard Internal Supports

Heavy-Duty Resolute 4200 Large Picture Windows (above right): 1” IG Double Pane Unit, 5.7MM Thick Tempered Glass, Extra Internal Supports

Our largest dedicated jumbo frame size is available in the PI-2000 fixed picture window. The frame is 6” thick and has a 1” IG Unit capable of handling ¼”, double pane, tempered glass. The PI-2000 is a wide-edged, heavy window system solely designed to carry hefty loads and large sizes. For this reason, it’s best suited for installation in thicker walls.

The Heavy-Duty Resolute 4200 large picture window comes in a 3 ¼” frame depth like the entire Resolute family. It is easily joined (mulled) to other Resolute windows. Heavy-Duty Resolute large picture windows appear identical to standard Resolute windows on the outside, but inside there are big differences. They have a unique internal design and additional support struts engineered for thicker, heavier glass.

Standard Resolute 4200 Picture Windows are 3 ¼” thick with ¾” wide IG Units. They usually include double-strength glass and have internal supports to equally distribute the load throughout the frame.

Heavy-Duty Extra Large Window Frame

Heavy-Duty Resolute 4200 Large Picture Windows are 3 ¼” thick and have bigger 1″ IG Units. Typically, they’re built with heavier ¼” tempered glass and have internal supports under and around it to distribute the load throughout the frame.
