At Ringer Windows, we make thousands of high-quality vinyl replacement windows and ready-made stock windows every year. And yes, our manufacturing process does generate small amounts of excess vinyl that end up in the trash bin daily. Although we do our utmost to efficiently utilize vinyl, some amount of waste is unavoidable. Unfortunately, this scrap has been going to a landfill where it takes many years to decompose.

Is Waste Vinyl Recycling Possible & is Ringer Windows Doing It?
Yes, waste vinyl recycling is possible and Ringer Windows is now doing it. That’s because we recently discovered a vinyl recycling company called Return Polymers. After several good meetings with them, we decided to start sending our scrap there instead of to the landfill. Our entire team is very excited that our vinyl waste is now being repurposed into hundreds of useful products! And we’re also pleased to receive a small payment from our recycling partner for every full load. Pretty cool!
Shouldn’t We All Be Doing Things For the Planet?
In closing, it’s not our intention to use this blog post as a pitch for others to recycle their vinyl waste. However, we do want companies who use vinyl to know that recycling it is easy, environmentally friendly, and profitable. Let’s hope that everyone does their part to save Planet Earth!
