He packed the pressure on so high with replacement deals, gimmicks, and games that we’ll never do that again”. As a steward of the window industry, I hate to hear this sort of thing. That’s because games and gimmicks are NOT how reputable, high-quality window companies should operate! But unfortunately, “don’t-leave-until-the-deal-is-signed” is a common theme among window salespeople today. This full-court-press, high-pressure approach puts you on the spot to buy today or the replacement window deal goes away.

The high-pressure sales game plan starts with a call from your potential replacement window supplier. In it they’ll ask for a commitment from both you and your spouse to be home when they visit. And they’ll want two to three hours of your time. Once you agree to these things get ready for an intensive, high-pressure session that will fray your nerves.

What’s the Typical Pitch from These Window Companies?
Window companies using high-pressure sales tactics ALWAYS make an offer that’s “only good right now”! Why do they do this? Because their prices are so high that if you don’t buy now, you’ll come to your senses and NEVER return. In fact, if you don’t sign immediately, they often don’t leave an estimate or product literature behind. This is to make you believe you’ve missed the opportunity of a lifetime! Sales presentations like this are designed to ignite your emotions so you purchase impulsively. In closing, you should know that selling windows this way is an old, well-established approach. As a matter of fact, one window company regularly posts job ads for CLOSERS rather than sales consultants.

Do you really want to buy from a company happy and willing to blatantly overcharge you if they can? Finally, the undeniable truth of these window companies is that they are dishonest and disreputable.
It’s No Surprise When Customers Ask Us, “Is this your best price?”
With other window replacement salespeople using high-pressure games, it’s understandable that clients ask if we’re offering our best price. The truth is, when we bid work our team strives to charge the same fair, low prices to everyone. So, if you want to buy our windows and ask for a break, we might offer $100 off or so. But rarely does any discount exceed that amount.
